A delegation from the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, led by Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah (MP), visited the NAIMOS headquarters earlier yesterday to sign the Book of Condolence for Private Sarfo Agyapong Collins, the devoted officer who tragically died while performing his duties during Tuesday’s operation near the Obuasi Airport enclave.

This loss has caused the Ministry great sorrow.

The Minister expressed President John Mahama’s condolences to the NAIMOS team as well as the grieving family.

The fallen officer, he said, was a brave patriot whose sacrifice would always be remembered.

The government is still dedicated to helping the entire team as they carry out their crucial work in the battle against illegal mining, and four additional officers who were hurt in the accident are receiving medical attention.

In remembrance of our fallen colleague, the public is encouraged to participate in this solemn practice.

May his soul rest in peace.
