As part of the commemoration of World Fisheries Day 2025, the National Conference of Chief Fishermen and Queen Fishmongers successfully held its first day at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
“Resetting Fisheries — Chief Fishermen and Fishmongers as Guardians and Partners in Sustainable Fisheries Management” was the focus of the opening day’s thought-provoking discussions with Chief Fishermen, Queen Fishmongers, policymakers, civic society, academics, and important partners.
A solid basis for a sustainable, forward-thinking future for Ghana’s fishing industry was established by the conversations and cooperation on Day One.
