In connection with the viral video showing a female victim being exposed to harsh and degrading treatment by a group of individuals, the police have made the arrest of four suspects in Kupelga.
In the early hours of Tuesday, June 13, 2023, a Police intelligence operation resulted in the arrest of the suspects Awizore Amolt, Akolbila Asorwogo, Atibila Aladago, and Akolbila Ben after a preliminary investigation into the aforementioned video.
While efforts are made to arrest additional conspirators so they can be brought to justice, the four suspects who are now in police custody are supporting the investigation.

A police statement said “they are in touch with the victim and her family and arrangements have been made for a police clinical psychologist to provide her psycho-social support.”
