Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, a flagbearer candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), will submit his nomination papers at the party’s Asylum Down headquarters in Accra today, June 19, 2023.
Some party veterans, including former national and regional officers, former lawmakers, constituency executives, Electoral Area Coordinators, and Polling Station Executives will accompany him.
Dr. Akoto will then address the media and the thousands of party members who support his agenda right after the nomination forms are submitted.
People close to the intelligent politician claim that Dr. Akoto will deliver a very significant speech that will expand on his vision for the party and the nation as a whole.
According to Dr. Akoto’s close friends, if this vision is approved and carried out, the party’s fortunes will change and the economy of Ghana will undergo a significant transformation.
A group of farmers and friends chose the nomination papers on May 29, 2023, in support of the former Minister for Food and Agriculture’s bid for the presidency.
The two-time Member of Parliament for Kwadaso, Alan Kyerematen, will join Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and former Trade and Industry Minister Alan Kyerematen as candidates who have submitted their candidacy papers today.
Last week, on Monday, June 12, 2023, and Friday, June 16, 2023, respectively, Alan and Bawumia both turned in their forms.
