Yesterday, June 19, 2023, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo departed Ghana for a six-day working trip to Spain, France, and the United Kingdom.
President Akufo-Addo will attend the Aqaba Process conference of West Africa and the Sahel today, Tuesday, June 20, 2023, in Cordoba, Spain, at the request of His Majesty Felipe Juan Pablo Alfonso VI of Spain and His Majesty Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein of Jordan.
His next stop would be Paris, France, where he would accept French President Emmanuel Macron’s invitation to attend the Summit for a New Global Financial Pact scheduled for June 22–23, 2023. On June 23, he would next go to the United Kingdom for a private visit.
Dr. Kwaku Afriyie, the Minister of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation, and members of the presidency accompanied him.
On Saturday, June 24, 2023, President Akufo-Addo will visit Ghana once again. In accordance with Article 60, paragraph 8 of the Constitution, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia will act in his place.
