The iconic Chaka Khan’s next album is highly anticipated by R&B enthusiasts. A few weeks ago, the music queen gave them a sneak peek with her surprising debut single, “Chakzilla.”
She returns with the equally happy “Boogie’s In My Soul.”
Chaka performs a four-on-the-floor dance song with strong electronic elements and a beat that lasts for days when he teams up with the well-known Snoop Dogg.
Snoop’s opening rhyme reminds us of Melle Mel’s introduction to “I Feel For You,” but the Greg Kurstin-produced tune is more straightforward and meant to get us on the club floor.
