Ghana has been awarded the privilege to host the historic 70th Session of the UN Tourism Commission for Africa (CAF) in 2027, after a decision made at the 69th CAF conference in Seychelles.
The event will take place in conjunction with Ghana’s 70th anniversary of independence, offering a unique chance to invite tourism leaders, legislators, and industry stakeholders across Africa and highlight the nation’s rich cultural legacy, dynamic creative arts, friendly hospitality, and variety of tourism attractions.

The Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, emphasised Ghana’s dedication to leveraging tourism as a catalyst for sustainable development, economic transformation, cultural interchange, and African integration while presenting the nation’s winning bid.
Ghana’s status as a top destination for heritage, cultural, and diaspora tourism is further strengthened by hosting CAF 2027, which also offers a major platform to promote the country’s tourism, culture, and creative arts industries to Africa and the rest of the globe.
