President John Dramani Mahama chaired a National Security Council meeting yesterday to discuss the recent floods that impacted seven districts of the country.

The Post-Flood Mitigation Task Force and its subcommittees provided the Council with information on current response activities, recovery initiatives, and strategies to increase Ghana’s ability to withstand floods in the future.

The government is still dedicated to protecting lives, helping impacted communities, and putting long-term measures in place to lessen the effects of flooding.
