The Ghana Education Service has denounced a video in which some Senior High School pupils are heard insulting President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo with foul language.
Some female SHS students took turns using swear words against the President in the viral video.
In a statement released on Monday, November 14, 2022, and signed by Cassandra Twum, the head of the GES’ public relations unit, management responded to the video by denouncing the incident as “against every educational and moral ideal in our society.”
The students have been recognized as second-year students at Kassena Nankana West District’s Chiana Senior High School.
In addition to inviting the parents of the pupils shown on camera, it was revealed that school management had started “investigations to unravel the circumstances surrounding such terrible remarks and gestures.”
Additionally, the GES expressed the students’ regrets to the President.
