The sensitization program was organized to educate Officers and Men drawn from the various commands within the Greater Accra region.
Deputy Comptroller General for Finance and Administration Mr. Isaac Owusu Mensah delivered a welcome address on behalf of the Comptroller-General of Immigration Mr. Kwame Asuah Takyi. He noted that the RTI is not just a Legal Concept but a Cornerstone of a Democratic Society which Empowers citizens to Access vital Information and hold office holders Accountable.
The delegation from the RTI engaged officers in a presentation on areas of the Act including Background & Overview of the RTI Act, Functions of the Commission, Procedure for Accessing Information under the Act, Responsibility of Public Institutions and Exemptions and Offence.
