The Ghana Export Promotion Authority has recognized Hajia Rabiatu, the CEO of Maltiti R Enterprise, as the Women Icon for the Northern Region Edition of the Women Icons Regional Exhibition.
During the opening ceremony, Madam Bushira, the Director of the Department, Women and Gender in the Tamale District, emphasized the importance of market access and expansion, building women’s financial capacity, and, most importantly, supporting locally made products.

A statement delivered by Mrs. Nelly Spio-Abaidoo, Deputy Director in charge of the Industrial Arts and Crafts Department at GEPA on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer,Osafohene Dr. Afua Asabea Asare, highlighted that the Women Icons Regional Exhibition aims to celebrate the remarkable achievements and contributions of women in various trade and export sectors, inspiring future generations and promoting gender equality in businesses.
Alhaji Shani Alhassan Shaibu, the Chief Director, encouraged corporate entities to emulate the positive example set by the Ghana Export Promotion Authority in supporting women-owned businesses, as society benefits from the success of women.
Hajia Rabiatu Abukari, the Women Icon, expressed her gratitude to GEPA for the recognition and urged other women-owned businesses to handle their work diligently and leverage the opportunities provided by the African Continental Free Trade Agreement.
