In response to financial wrongdoing that has been uncovered in a contract between Strategic Mobilization Ghana Limited (SML) and the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), the Minority in Parliament has promised to take action.
He claimed that the contract is a financial theft and gave Ghanaians the assurance that the minority would act appropriately to protect the interests of the people of Ghana.
Following the revelation of the issue involving the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government by investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni, the Minority expressed alarm and a resolve to deal with the purported misconduct.
It is believed that the massive corruption plan that has been exposed is a clandestine operation that transfers public funds to the personal accounts of a few high-ranking government officials while posing as revenue assurance for the Ghana Revenue Authority.
The controversies that have plagued the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration for the past seven years have been exacerbated by this discovery.
Minority leader Ato Forson released a statement in which he said that although the Caucus is worried, the alleged theft network discovered in this most recent investigation is not surprising.
