At the Kantamanto market, fire has destroyed several buildings next to the railway line, destroying products worth hundreds of cedis.
According to information obtained by Starrfm.com.gh, the fire that broke out in the enclave at 4:35 am has destroyed a number of buildings.
Despite using up numerous tanks of water to try and save the situation, firefighters could still be seen fighting the fire.
Because the fire crews had ran out of water, affected traders were apprehended carrying headpans of water in an effort to put out the fire on their own.
No casualties have yet been reported, although it’s unclear what started the fire.
