The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly has mandated that all stores in the city close on March 30 from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. in order to conduct a thorough cleaning operation.
The cleanup is a part of the celebrations for Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s Silver Jubilee enthronement.
Both store owners and city dwellers in Kumasi have been urged to participate actively in the program.
