Well-known Nigerian actress Ini Edo has responded to rumors that she would be married soon.
Remember how the rumors gained popularity in September 2024 when Ini Edo posted a picture of herself on her official page wearing a traditional Efik bridal gown along with a love message?
The actress stated that the post was a promotion for her upcoming four-part series, “My Fairytale Wedding,” rather than an engagement announcement in her most recent interview with Nigeria’s Premium Times.
Ini Edo stated that she no longer prioritizes marriage when asked if she ever imagined having a real-life fantasy wedding.
“I’m not crazy about marriage; I am crazy about having a solid relationship. I’m not hoping, and it’s not any of my prayer points.”
The multi-award winning actress was formerly wed to Philip Ehiagwina, an American businessman of Nigerian descent.
The 2008 marriage ended in divorce in 2014, leaving no children behind.
On the other hand, Ini Edo received Light, her first daughter, through a surrogate in 2021.
The celebrated actress and businesswoman explained that she chose to use a surrogate for both her and her child’s mental health.
She added that she would want no controversy of any kind.
