Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the most qualified candidate to guide Ghana into the fourth industrial revolution, according to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
As he gets ready to run for president, President Akufo-Addo asked the people of Mamprugu to support Bawumia during a two-day tour to the Northern, North East, and Savanna regions.
President Akufo-Addo stressed in his request for assistance that Dr. Bawumia has well-thought-out programs that are meant to advance the country in addition to his creative ideas. Asserting Bawumia’s emphasis on important initiatives, the President said, “He is not proposing 24-hour discotheques.”
The President reaffirmed his sixteen-year cooperation with Bawumia, highlighting his honesty, intelligence, and skill.
“If the people of Ghana agree with me and give him the chance, he will make an excellent President,” he declared with confidence.
Speaking to the Nayiri and Mamprugu residents, President Akufo-Addo emphasized that Dr. Bawumia was prepared to lead the nation well and asked for their support.
Along with drawing comparisons between their different leadership transitions, he said, “You will never know who will follow you, but in my case, I will know who will succeed me.”
In closing, the President said, “I’ve come here to ask for your support to make sure that your son, my Vice President, Mahamudu Bawumia, succeeds me.” The President urged the populace to band together in support of Bawumia.
