Twelve people have been taken into custody by the police on charges of stealing and damaging property in various regions of the nation.

According to initial investigations, the suspects attacked certain facilities, said Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Grace Ansah-Akro, Director of Public Affairs, Ghana Police Service, during a press conference last Sunday.

According to her, they also set fire to the Savannah Region’s Electoral Commission office in Damango and damaged state property.

According to ACP Ansah-Akro, the attackers also vandalized certain collation centers and damaged some District Chief Executives’ (DEs’) homes around the nation.
