Members of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) 2024 manifesto subcommittee have received gratitude from Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the party’s vice president and 2024 presidential candidate.

Dr. Bawumia praised the chairpersons, vice chairpersons, and members of the several subcommittees for their commitment and hard work in creating a thorough policy document for the elections during a meeting on Monday at his home in Accra.

“I want to express sincere gratitude and appreciation to all of you for your dedication and hard work towards putting together such a comprehensive document, which we presented to Ghanaians,” said Dr. Bawumia.

Dr. Bawumia commended the manifesto’s excellence and the revolutionary policies it laid forth for Ghana’s future, regardless of the election’s outcome.

Dr. Bawumia ascribed the party’s performance to voter indifference among its core followers in light of the unexpected election results.

He said, “It was as if our people held a meeting across the country and decided they won’t go out to vote,” pointing out that more than two million of the party’s key supporters did not cast ballots.

He emphasized the importance of a thorough examination of the problem of voter indifference and gave the committee members his word that the party will carry out in-depth research as part of its reorganization process to determine the best course of action.

Dr. Bawumia also emphasized the lasting importance of the committee members’ efforts on the manifesto and urged them not to be discouraged by the election’s outcome.

“God willing, we will all benefit from this document in the future,” he promised.

Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, the chair of the Manifesto Committee for the 2024 Bawumia campaign, also attended the conference.

Several party organizations have paid Dr. Bawumia a visit at his home in recent days. He has thanked them for their support and urged them to concentrate on restructuring and reorganizing the NPP so that it can win more elections in the future.
