The appointment of Edward Nana Yaw Koranteng as the CEO of the Minerals Income and Investment Fund has been immediately revoked, according to the Office of the President.
A letter dated January 13, 2025, written by Secretary to the President Callistus Mahama, Ph.D., conveyed the decision.
The letter directed Mr. Koranteng to transfer his duties to Hon. Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, the President’s envoy to the Ministry of Finance.
Until a permanent CEO is appointed, Dr. Forson will manage the fund’s activities.
Mr. Koranteng’s service to the country was acknowledged by the President.
