Mr. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, the Hon. Minister of Health, has reaffirmed the government’s dedication to seeing that important health programs, such as the Program-for-Results (PforR) project and the COVID-19 response initiative, are implemented and completed successfully.

This promise was given at the end of an implementation assistance mission at a debriefing session.

Under the direction of Dorothy Chan, the World Bank Task Team leader, the mission evaluated the two projects’ execution status, paying particular attention to procurement, financial management, environmental and social protections, and infrastructure.

Speaking to stakeholders, the Minister praised participants for their commitment and acknowledged the mission’s demanding timetable.

In order to properly build the Network of Practice and Model Health Centers, he stated the ministry’s commitment to strengthening cooperation among implementing agencies, especially with the Health Facilities Regulatory Agency (HeFRA).

In a welcome speech, the Ministry of Health’s chief director underlined the ministry’s dedication to making sure that important healthcare projects are implemented successfully, stressing the significance of resolving issues and finishing unfinished business on schedule.

He conveyed his sincere gratitude to the World Bank for its ongoing assistance through frequent Implementation Support Missions.
