Kwame Asare-Obeng, also known as A Plus, is the Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central.
He claims that after offering him a position with the administration, the former New Patriotic Party (NPP) tried to quiet him.
Speaking on Sunday, May 4 on Channel One TV’s Upside Down, A Plus claimed that the party had anticipated that his outspokenness would decrease after he was assigned a post, but because he persisted in speaking, his employment was terminated.
“The problem with the NPP is that they gave me a job expecting that now that you are eating, don’t talk. But they didn’t tell me that when they were giving me the job. I like talking more than eating,” he stated.
He clarified that the work entailed hauling oil at the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company (BOST), but party authorities soon became concerned about his incessant criticism of the administration.
“One or two months into the business, they said I was talking too much. So they took the job away. As for pay, I got only one month,” he reiterated.
