The Honourable Haruna Iddrisu, Minister of Education, convened a strategic discussion with important stakeholders to further the creation of a Country Action Plan (CAP).
Increasing teacher capacity in Ghana is one of the plan’s objectives.
The National Teaching Council (NTC), the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA), and the European Union–Regional Teachers’ Initiative for Africa (EU-RTIA) Facility Team convened for the engagement that began yesterday in Accra.
The topics of discussion were teacher mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) and the Green Skills Competency Framework.

It is anticipated that the EU-RTIA Facility will offer crucial technical support for the creation and application of these policy frameworks.
Hon. Iddrisu praised the partnership and underlined how crucial it is to have a long-term engagement in order to raise the standard of education delivery.
He emphasized the Ministry’s intention in creating a nationwide digital learning network to guarantee all Ghanaian students fair and inclusive access to educational materials.
