A major step toward accountability, transparency, and sustainability in Ghana’s fisheries industry has been taken with the official launch of the FiTI National Multistakeholder Group (MSG) by Hon. Emelia Arthur, Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture.

To guarantee transparent, reliable, and inclusive fisheries data and governance, the MSG unites academia, industry, government, and civil society.

“This is not just a ceremony; it marks the beginning of a transformative journey to restore trust, combat IUU fishing, and protect the livelihoods of millions,” the Minister emphasized.

For their dedication to establishing Ghana as a leader in sustainable fisheries governance, we applaud all parties involved and development partners.
