Huge surprises followed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential and parliamentary primaries on Saturday when prominent party figures lost their bids to return to Parliament.
In the hotly contested elections, at least over fifteen incumbent Members of Parliament from around the nation lost their seats.
Alex Adomako, Sekyere Afram Plains; Edward Byawa, Bongo; Wisdom Gidisu, Krachie East; ABA Fuseini, Sanarigu; Abeiku Crentsil, Ekumfi; Albert Alasoka, Garu; and Dela Sowah, Kpando are the names of the individuals.
The remaining members are Dr. Kwabena Duffuor of Sekyere Afram Plains, Sampson Chiragia of Pru East, Kwabena Donkor of Amenfi Central, Christian Otuteye of Sege, Kwakye Ackah AmenfiK wabenya Woyome of South Tongu, and Angela Oforiwa Alorwutey of Afadjato South.
In order to represent the party in their individual constituencies, they were unable to secure the necessary majority of votes from NDC delegates.
