John Mahama, the elected leader of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has urged the NDC’s membership to concentrate on pulling Ghana out of its current predicament.
He claims that the successful presidential and parliamentary elections held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 nationwide have established the NDC as the most democratic party in the nation.
“In your customary wise fashion, you participated in the presidential and parliamentary elections for our party in large numbers around the nation.
I also want to express my gratitude to Mr. Kojo Bonsu and Dr. Kwabena Duffuor for their contest. I also like to thank Mr. Ernest Kobea for supporting me in this competition by withdrawing. Their participation in this primary has solidified our party’s illustrious history as the nation’s most democratic political tradition, the former President wrote on Facebook on Sunday, May 14, 2023.
“Let us disagree to agree,” he said, “but let us keep our collective sights firmly on the supreme objective of the NDC leading Ghana out of the current abyss that the country is in.”
