At Ayigya Zongo, in the Grater Kumasi of the Ashanti Region, a 32-year-old woman is accused of fatally stabbing her boyfriend.
After a miscommunication between the two resulted in Joseph Bawa’s tragic death on Sunday, the suspect, Jennifer Appiah, also known as Maa Akua, is accused of stabbing him numerous times.
The deceased’s mother, Madam Hawa Alhasan, revealed that her son was declared dead when he arrived to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Hospital, also referred to as the “Tech Hospital.”
However, the bereaved mother was unable to identify the reason for the miscommunication between the deceased and the suspect.
“Any time there is a misunderstanding between the two, the woman threatens the deceased with a knife or pair of scissors,” she continued. Numerous times, I begged my son to end their relationship, but he resisted doing so until his untimely death.
“Now that the woman who killed my son has escaped, we are pleading with the police to apprehend her and bring her to justice.”
While a police investigation is being conducted, the deceased’s body has been placed in the mortuary at KNUST Hospital.
