Francis Addai-Nimoh, a candidate for the New Patriotic Party’s flag bearer position, has declared that he will choose candidacy papers today, May 26, 2023.
In a Facebook post, the engineer and politician informed his followers that he would be picking up his candidacy form at the party’s headquarters at 11 a.m.
He pleaded with all party members, sympathizers, and supporters to join him in his mission to change history.
Former Ashanti Region representative for Mampong, Mr. Addai-Nimoh is vying for the party’s leadership ahead of the 2024 elections against former Trades Minister Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen.
He already left his government post to concentrate on his presidential aspirations.
Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, who indicated his intention to compete for the position to a few MPs in the majority caucus, is also in the running.
The front-runners in the race are thought to be Mr. Kyerematen and Dr. Bawumia.
