Alexander Afenyo-Markin, the Ranking Member of the Committee, has been accused by Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini, the Deputy Minister of Roads and Highways-designate, of asking aimless questions during talks.

Suhuyini voiced issues on the Minority Leader’s questioning style in an interview with Johnnie Hughes of 3FM on February 6. He said, “The Minority Leader has been winding with his questioning and sometimes seems confused.”

He added that some committee members were trying to make political points rather than concentrate on productive conversations and that the committee was being used for political teasing.

Suhuyini urged committee members to work together more effectively in order to guarantee more productive work.

“The Chair and members of the committee need to work on being more collaborative because Ghanaians are angry with the kind of conduct we are seeing. It’s been fairly good, but we can do better,” he continued, highlighting the necessity of reaching a committee consensus.
