Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has stated that he is quite hopeful that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will win back power in the general elections of 2028.

He emphasizes that the party will capitalize on the governance legacy that he and former President John Agyekum Kufuor left behind.

He cited the accomplishments of the NPP under his leadership and those of previous President John Agyekum Kufuor as the cornerstone of a political resurgence while speaking at the opening of a newly built NPP office in the Bantama Constituency on Friday, September 19.

“The work the NPP did during my time and during former President Kufuor’s time is enormous, and it is that legacy we will build on to win back power in 2028,” the former president said.

He urged party supporters to be united and concentrate on the task at hand, stating that the current situation in the nation under the Mahama-led administration is alarming.

“We have all seen what is happening; you’ve all seen it. Things are not going well. But when we unite and do things right, I know that, with God’s help, we will reclaim power in 2028,” he reiterated.
