The Driver and car Licensing Authority (DVLA) has declared that all of its services pertaining to car registration are now available online at online.dvla.gov.gh.

The outdated manual method for vehicle registration and other related services has been phased out, according to the DVLA.

This will help it achieve its goal of removing identity theft and deceptive advertising while offering these services.

“Secondly, the National Identity Register Regulations, 2012 (L) 2111), requires the mandatory use of the National Identity Card for transactions involving identity verification. This includes all services that involve applications and approvals,” statement said.

The National identification Card is the sole form of identification verification that the DVLA announced it will accept for all of its services.

“The verification shall be conducted in person at any DVLA office or remotely via the mobile app “DVLA verify” available for download on Google Player Apple Store,” it added.

Owners of registered vehicles were urged by the DVLA to come into any of its offices for the purpose of completing biometric identification verification and authenticating their car data.

“This is necessary to enhance security, ensure traceability, accountability and most importantly improve customer experience to drive productivity,” it added.
