The Court of Appeal will hear Groupe Nduom’s (GN) appeal against a High Court decision that upheld the cancellation of GN Savings and Loans’ (GN Bank) license tomorrow.

Research by the Daily Graphic has shown that the Bank of Ghana’s failure to reinstate a bank’s license, as stated in the paper’s Friday, February 6, 2026 issue, actually relates to another former bank and has nothing to do with GN Savings and Loans.

Seven months after being reclassified as a universal bank operating under the name GN Bank to a savings and loans company, GN Savings and Loans’ licence was cancelled by the Bank of Ghana (BoG).

Therefore, the Friday, February 6, 2026 publication that allegedly disregarded the Bank of Ghana’s decision to restore the licence is superseded by this one.

After being classed as a savings and loans company on January 4, 2019, GN Bank Limited changed its name to GN Savings and Loans Company Limited.
