Borkorborkor, Numbotse, Afuaman, Manhean, Mallam Issah, and the neighbouring areas lost power due to a technical issue at Pentecost Junction. To fix the issue and restore supply, engineers were called in.
Separately, Weija Junction, Menskrom, Jayee University, Regent University, Mango Lane, and the adjacent districts had disruptions due to a punctured subterranean cable at Mango Lane. As a result, both higher education institutions were disrupted.
The ECG apologised to all impacted consumers in its public announcements, recognising the inconvenience caused by both the planned maintenance and the unforeseen technical issues.
While stressing that the scheduled exercises are essential to ensuring the long-term robustness of the power network across the regions, the firm assured the public that engineers are working hard to remedy all network concerns.
