According to the Ranking Member of Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, he has denied being asked to help with investigations into the suspected inflow of cash and suspicious narcotics into the nation.
Fordjour characterized such assertions as completely untrue and without merit.
On Saturday, April 5, the MP vehemently denied claims made by Government Spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu that he had received an invitation while speaking on Channel One Newsroom.
“No invitation has come to me. I have not received any invitation whatsoever, contrary to the lies and falsehoods peddled by Kwakye Ofosu that I had been invited and I am running away from collaboration. It is false,” he stated.
Fordjour reaffirmed his dedication to openness and responsibility, characterizing the charges as willful attempts to deceive the public.
His remarks coincide with increased calls for clarification and an impartial examination of the claims, which are coming under increasing scrutiny.
