Delegates of the New Patriotic Party have been urged to vote in large numbers for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia by Ashanti Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Wontumi.
According to him, the former vice president is crucial to the party’s victory in the 2028 elections.
Wontumi pointed out that the presidential primary is about how to gain power in the 2028 elections, and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia holds that power, not about friendship, tribe, or religion, among other things.
“If it is power we are looking for, then it should not be about who your friend is or who belongs to your tribe. It is about who can win power for the NPP, and there is no other than Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia,” he stated.
“The five persons competing for the position as flagbearer are all fine gentlemen and members of the New Patriotic Party. However, with one voice as the Ashanti Region, let’s vote for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia because he is our future.“ he reiterated.
