President John Dramani Mahama has given firm assurances that Gomoa Central will soon witness major infrastructure and industrial transformation, following his Christmas visit to the constituency.
Kwame A Plus, the MP for Gomoa Central, said that the visit was more than just a joyous retreat and that the President had made “clear and reassuring commitments” to development.
“The President assured us that the Winneba–Swedru Road will be fixed, and that additional roads will be constructed across Gomoa Central to improve connectivity and unlock economic opportunities,” the MP said.

He states that the road developments will facilitate travel between towns, boost local companies, and promote trade within the Central Region.
President Mahama’s announcement that he will personally attend the sod-cutting ceremony for the Gomoa Central Special Economic Zone, a key industrial project under the government’s 24-Hour Economy Program, was one of the visit’s main highlights.
According to Kwame A Plus, “This industrial zone will operate round the clock, attract large-scale investments and create about 300,000 sustainable jobs within a few years.”
The MP clarified that the Special Economic Zone is intended to establish Gomoa Central as a major industrial centre that can boost employment, exports, and manufacturing on a national level.
President Mahama is anticipated to inaugurate the Ahmadiyya Poultry Project in Gomoa Pomadze, a state-of-the-art, automated poultry and cattle facility, in addition to the industrial project.
The MP stated, “This is a project that will employ many people, increase local meat production and significantly reduce Ghana’s dependence on meat imports.”
The facility has the potential to grow into one of the biggest chicken farms in West Africa because of its size and cutting-edge technology, he continued.
Kwame A Plus came to the conclusion that the pledges support the government’s goal of economic revitalisation.
He said, “Ghana is rising, the Central Region is resetting, and Gomoa Central is opening up for business.”
