Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah (MP), the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, has called on African countries to match domestic reforms with Pan-African goals, saying that the continent is on the verge of full integration, contingent on the cooperation of all major players.

“Despite our challenges, Africa stands on the threshold of true integration.” Hon. Buah said at a Policy roundtable at the ongoing Investing in Africa Mining Indaba 2026.

“Our success hinges on our collective will to align national reforms with continental goals, building institutions that transcend political cycles and fostering a transparency that earns both investor confidence and citizen trust.”

He cited Ghana’s experience as an example of successful government.

“Integration is a marathon, not a sprint. Ghana’s journey proves that through good governance, a structured framework, and resilience, we can move from aspiration to achievement,” he remarked.

“Let us build the systems today that make an integrated Africa not just a possibility, but an inevitability,” the Minister continued, urging urgent systemic action.

He emphasised that transforming goals into tangible outcomes requires openness and strong institutions.

Future policy changes intended to bolster investor confidence and African unity are anticipated to be influenced by the ministerial address.
