Omanbapa AgriTech Limited and the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the establishment of an organic fertiliser processing facility in Ghana.
The agreement, which was signed on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Accra, is a component of the government’s initiatives to advance sustainable agriculture, strengthen soil health, and increase food production under the Agriculture for Economic Transformation Agenda (AETA).
In order to safeguard soil health and advance healthy food production, Hon. Eric Opoku, Minister of Food and Agriculture, emphasised the Ministry’s dedication to assisting the progressive switch from inorganic to organic fertilisers.
The facility, which is anticipated to be built in the Ashanti and Ahafo Regions, will turn agricultural waste into organic fertiliser, benefiting farmers, generating jobs, and promoting climate-smart agriculture.
Omanbapa AgriTech promised to support the 42nd National Farmers’ Day Celebration by sponsoring seven billboards in Sunyani, supplying ten telescopic flags, and giving 500 MoFA-branded caps as part of its support for the agricultural industry.
