On May 10, 2023, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) will make its album and an accompanying document for the verification process available to each constituency.

The party’s general secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua, informed all constituency executives of this in a document dated May 3, 2023.

A Verification Executive Committee will therefore be established, according to the memo, to oversee the procedure in each constituency.

The Chairperson of the Constituency Council of Elders, a Member of the Constituency, a Member of Parliament from the Constituency, if any, or a Representative will make up the committee.

The remaining positions are those of Constituency Secretary, Organizer, and Information Technology Coordinator/Officer.

According to the document, the committee has been directed to work together and carefully review the album to ensure transparency for this crucial activity.

Further instructions state that the verification procedure must be finished by May 26, 2023, and that the Regional Executive Committee must receive it by May 31, 2023.

Additionally, you are urged to address any and all petitions to the Regional Executive Committee. By June 23, 2023, the Regional Executive Committees must provide the albums and their findings to the General Secretary’s office.

Additionally, it was stated that the albums submitted to each constituency should be the same ones that were used to elect the officers for each constituency at the conference of constituency delegates.

The memo emphasized that upon receipt and upon the conclusion of the verification exercise, each page of the album will need to have the signatures of each Committee member appended.

The Committee members will also need to sign each page of the verification document, it was added.

The committee cannot replace or substitute any delegate, regardless of whether they are deceased, have moved, are suspended, or have taken a different opinion, it was further emphasized.
