Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, a flagbearer candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has urged the party’s National Executive to cancel the next presidential and parliamentary primaries slated for this coming weekend, May 13, 2023.
He claims that this is a result of some errors in the party’s voter list.
Dr. Duffuor’s campaign team protested that the register is insufficient and unreliable to be used for the elections in a letter to the NDC General Secretary.
The postponement will provide adequate time for the register to be cleaned and a chance for a free and fair election, according to the letter from Kofi Kukubor, Head of Research and Strategy for the Duffuor campaign.
