Osebo the Zaraman has made fresh revelations about the ongoing dispute between Safo Akofena and his sister, former Member of Parliament Sarah Adwoa Safo, following the death of their father in 2025.
Speaking in an interview on Monday, August 10, 2026, Osebo said he did not believe either of the two siblings was solely responsible for the family conflict. Instead, he attributed the tension to some elders within the Kristo Asafo church community who, he claimed, had taken sides and contributed to the disagreement.
According to Osebo, the elders supporting Safo Akofena were the main source of the conflict between the siblings.
“Akofena is not the problem. It is the elders who are supporting him who are the problem. When Adwoa Safo was shot, none of the church members went to the hospital to visit her. If you love me, you will love my child,” he said.
Osebo further argued that despite his differences with Safo Akofena, he would still defend him if he found him in a confrontation.
He explained that his personal disagreements with Akofena would not prevent him from offering support when necessary, stressing that Akofena was aware of his position.
“So, the problem is from the elders of the church,” Osebo reiterated.
Church Elders Absent from Apostle Safo’s Burial
Osebo also claimed that some church elders who supported Safo Akofena and allegedly joined him in securing a court injunction against Adwoa Safo and her supporters did not attend the burial service of the late Apostle Safo.
The burial ceremony for the founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission was held on July 30 and 31, 2026.
According to Osebo, despite the existing tensions between the two sides, the church elders would have been welcomed if they had attended the funeral.
His comments have added another dimension to the ongoing public discussion surrounding the family dispute, with attention now focused on the role allegedly played by individuals within the Kristo Asafo community.
The disagreement between Safo Akofena and Adwoa Safo has attracted significant public attention, particularly following developments after the death of their father in 2025.
