The Prime Building Cost Index (PBCI) for September 2025 was estimated at 131.7, up from 120.0 in September 2024.

This translated into a Year-on-Year inflation of 9.7% for September 2025.

According to the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS), this means that on average, the price of building materials and services increased by 9.7% between September 2024 and September 2025.

Again, the Month-on-Month (MoM) inflation rate for September 2025 was -0.4%, meaning that the general price level of building inputs decreased by 0.4% between August and September 2025.

The MoM indices show that there have been monthly declines in prices since June 2025.
