Mrs. Maame Samma Peprah has officially replaced Mrs. Jemima M. Oware as the Acting Registrar of Companies (ROC) in Accra.

The changeover ceremony was characterized by cordial interactions and accomplishment acknowledgment.

Mrs. Oware, who oversaw the Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) from March 2022 to February 2025, thanked the team for their assistance, which allowed for significant advancements during her time there.

In order to guarantee long-term success, she urged collaboration and extended her support to her successor.

Mrs. Peprah stressed in her inauguration address the value of cooperation and teamwork at all levels in order to preserve productivity and advance the general welfare.

She praised the seamless transfer and promised to use Mrs. Oware’s knowledge and experience to build on the strong foundation she had established.

Background

She holds an LLB from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, a Barrister-at-Law certification from the Ghana School of Law, and an LL.M. in Oil and Gas Law and Policy from the University of Dundee.

She has worked in both the public and commercial sectors, making significant contributions to institutions including the Attorney-General’s Department, the Legal Aid Board, Cenpower Generation Ltd., and LawTrust Company.

She is also an adjunct instructor at GIMPA Law Faculty and has proven to be a specialist in corporate governance, stakeholder engagement, legal advising, and policy formulation.

She has pledged to maintain openness, effectiveness, and excellent service standards at the Companies Registry in her role as the next Acting Registrar.
