President John Dramani Mahama is scheduled to start a visit to the Greater Accra Region today as part of his ongoing “Thank You” tour around the country.
The purpose of this journey is to convey his sincere gratitude to the chiefs and the people of the area for their solid support and the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) resounding electoral win in the general elections held on December 7, 2024.
The visit’s high point will be a special durbar that will take place at the Old Ghanata Astro Turf in Dodowa at precisely 2:00 p.m.
It is anticipated that traditional leaders, party members, opinion leaders, youth organizations, and members of the general public from all throughout the region will be present at the event.
President Mahama uses this durbar as a chance to express his gratitude and to reaffirm his dedication to the people of Greater Accra.
He is expected to discuss important development topics like infrastructure, youth empowerment, healthcare, and job creation that are highlighted in the NDC’s #ResettingGhana manifesto.
With sound systems, security measures, seating sections, and cultural acts, the durbar’s local organizers have made sure the location is prepared to hold the anticipated number of attendees.
Traditional leaders and chiefs will be seated according to tradition, and particular focus is being placed on the ceremonial customs that characterize these significant events.
Attendees will have a unique chance to speak with President Mahama face-to-face and learn firsthand how his administration intends to address the issues affecting the area.
Additionally, it is a time of celebration and unity, acknowledging the common vision of the NDC leadership and the people of Greater Accra.
Essentially, today’s durbar at Dodowa will signify a fresh collaboration between the NDC and the people, motivated by a shared vision to create a better Ghana for everybody, in addition to the start of President Mahama’s Greater Accra regional tour.
