As the government moves forward with its pledge to rebuild the Ho-Aflao and the Weta – Afiadenyigba – Havedzi Road, the people of the Volta Region will soon breathe a sigh of relief.
A team of engineers from the Ghana Highway Authority and the Ministry of Roads and Highways was headed by Hon. Kwame Agbodza and Hon. Suhuyini yesterday to evaluate the state of the roads and make plans for immediate repair.
The Weta-Afiadenyigba-Havedzi Road would be financed by the Roads Ministry’s 2025 financial allocation, according to Hon. Agbodza, while the Ho-Aflao Road will be rebuilt under President John Mahama’s Big Push Agenda.
Additionally, the Minister clarified that the Ho bypass’s feasibility studies, plans, and drawings are nearly finished and that construction and procurement will shortly start.
