Samuel Koku Anyidoho, the former deputy general secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is concerned about the condition of the party’s media directorate.
Anyidoho finds it incomprehensible that instead of the other way around, the ruling government is dictating the agenda for the opposition.
In his opinion, the NDC has devolved into a laughingstock throughout the 2024 election campaign.
He said. “In 2008 when I was directing communications, there is no way we could be a laughing stock. So sad that A complete lack of proper policy direction is allowing the media to laugh at us and also tell us to stop making a mockery of ourselves. Very disturbing,”
He said it was improper for an opposition party to choose its flagbearer ahead of the ruling party and then wait for the government to set the agenda before acting.
“When as a Communications Expert & Political Strategist, I said it was dangerous for the Opposition to sit idly by, & allow the Government to set the agenda; all they did was to insult as usual. Now, Bawumia’s Policy Plan, is what is driving all the serious discussions,” he reiterated
