The Honorable Haruna Iddrisu, Minister of Education, has visited the ZAMSTEC and Zebilla Senior High Technical centers in Bolgatanga, Upper East Region, to administer the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
In an attempt to guarantee that peace reigns in the war areas, he is visiting to evaluate the effects of the conflict on the educational and learning environments.
In order for education to be conducive, Hon. Iddrisu urged all parties involved to guarantee that peace prevails.
“Without peace, classrooms fall silent,” Hon. Iddrisu lamented.
The Minister also urged the candidates to focus on their academics, which would ultimately be very beneficial, rather than letting the controversy distract them.
