Two suspects have been taken into custody by the Western Regional Police Command after they were seen in a widely shared video physically abusing two juveniles, a girl and a boy, ages 13 and 17, and forcing them to engage in sexual activity.

On Thursday, February 26, 2026, in Effiakuma, the accused, Edward Azalekor, 52, and Martin Amuzu, 35, who is the female victim’s uncle, were taken into custody when a Connect FM presenter shared a WhatsApp video.

The suspects were seen pushing the two youths to engage in sexual activity at a store in front of onlookers who were laughing, applauding, and recording the incident in the now-viral video.

According to preliminary findings, the female left the house without telling her mother in the afternoon of February 16, 2026, and returned at around 7:40 p.m.

Angry, her mother told Assemblyman Edward Azalekor of the Effiakuma West Electoral Area to reprimand her.

After luring the teenage male to the place, the suspects made him engage in sexual activity with the girl so they could witness it.

Yesterday, Friday, February 27, 2026, the accused were brought before the Harbour District Court in Takoradi. They were granted GHC 20,000.00 each in bail, with a deadline of Thursday, March 5, 2026.

The Department of Social Welfare is now holding the female victim.

Isaac Nana Osei, the suspect who recorded the conduct and is presently at large, is being investigated in hopes of being apprehended and prosecuted.
