The Guyanese Independence Day celebrations began with an interfaith service on the grounds of their State House.
Representatives of the Christian, Muslim, and Hindu faiths, as well as the government and people of Guyana, gathered for the religious ritual to consider their country’s future and diversity.
Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang then joined the Guyanese President, his Prime Minister, former Guyana presidents, and other notable visitors in his residence.
