According to the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), discrepancies in the examination that were found during this year’s West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School Candidates are being investigated .
This follows WAEC’s discovery of instances of exam-related misconduct by candidates, supervisors, and invigilators.
Among these include postings on bulletin boards for candidates to copy, candidates and teachers secretly bringing cell phones into test rooms, and candidates photocopying and giving out answers.
As a result, it has made the decision to prosecute all responsible examination authorities and parties.
A total of 460,611 candidates made up of 212,954 males and 247, 657 females participated in this year’s WASSCE.
