The Dansoman Sea Defence Project II, which is being built to shield the residents of that coastal area from the catastrophic consequences of sea erosion, was examined this afternoon by Hon. Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Works and Housing in Ghana.
In addition to being a coastal defence project, the 5km coastal stretch project includes 2100m of revetments and 22 groynes.
The project would include ancillary facilities such cold shops, fish markets, clinics, and sanitary facilities to promote livelihood and strengthen the local economy when it is finished in June 2028.
